Description:
Curcuma zedoaria, commonly known simply as Zedoary, is a plant of the zingiberaceae family , and first appeared in East India, arriving at the hands of colonizers in Brazil in the middle of the 16th century. The plant began to be cultivated here, adapting well to the place and ended up becoming well known due to the diverse medicinal properties beneficial to the human organism.
The plant has long greenish leaves with purple markings in the center, and the flowers have a shape of spike in the green and purple coloration. The taste is spicy and slightly bitter. Its reproduction is made by pieces of the rhizome that have gems and should be planted in clay soil and fertile, in regions with a temperate and humid climate. To harvest the rhizome, it is important to wait for the time when the plant loses its aerial part, soon after flowering. In this period, the plant usually has blue pigments.

Contraindications:
