Description:

Arnica ( Lychnophora pinaster Mart.) is a plant originating in regions of temperate climate, belonging to the Asteraceae family, the same as the sunflowers. It is also popularly known as Betonica, Betonica-das-Montes, Tobacco from the Mountains, Panacea-Falls, among other names. Arnica can be easily confused with sunflower, but its leaves differ by having a velvety texture and hairs. The best-known species of arnica is Arnica Montana, also popularly known as "true arnica", "arnica of the mountains", "tobacco of the mountains", among others. This plant is widely used in the home treatment of abrasions, in addition to being useful in the treatment of roundworms, animal bites, in the treatment against flatulence and, when used in the form of tincture, as a diuretic.

Health benefits:

Arnica can be used for both external and internal use. In external use, Arnica assists in the healing of wounds, sports injuries, ligament ruptures, bruises, bruises, scars and fibromyalgia. The plant is commonly used among athletes because it is useful in bleaching of blemishes, to undo edemas, to fight ligament ruptures, traumatisms and several muscular contusions.

In the internal use, it helps in the treatment of cases of worms, flatulence and swelling. The use of arnica is contraindicated for pregnant women and in cases of exposed wounds (without skin).
